That's an old Irish proverb and here in southern Missouri it couldn't be more true. It's 61 degrees outside currently, with wind advisories and tornado watches. Tomorrow will bring the 30's again, with rain and who knows what the heck else. There is a local saying that goes, "tis a privilege to live in the Ozarks". It definitely is, except in March. It teases and strings me along with glimpses of light and green, then tosses me back into awful grey days of muck. I have no use for this month.
While waiting for April to arrive, and apolgize to me for March, I'm keeping my paints close at hand. It's easy to be painting-prolific when most everything is brown outside. I did snip a few stems of quince from my yard, watered and warmed them up in my kitchen and faith and begorrah, they are blooming. Happy St. Patrick's Day.
